The New Job

Okay so it's no secret that I worked at Sonic Drive In when I was 16 for a few years..actually worked my way up to assistant manager. To be honest it was actually rather awkward to be managing at 17 when a majority of the crew were in their 20's and 30's. I loved working there, between the amazing people and the fun atmosphere...it was just a really enjoyable place to work. Well with my new path here in Dallas I have had to make a great deal of changes. One of which has been letting go of the rather large disposable income I had become accustom to and get a normal job going. So when I was unable to come up with anything else..I went to the one place I knew could use me.

Now don't get me wrong I am still planning on starting school and getting that ball rolling as well, but right now I need to get myself stable. If I had realized that I could have paid for school with all the money I wasted on partying and drugs...I would have passed on all of it to do so. Now I am paying for all the traveling and fun I had over the past 5 years. Going from making 1000 every other day to making 1000 every other week has been a big change. For one thing I have learned to budget my money a lot better and RED BOX has become my number one friend since I rarely go out. In all it has been a rather positive change in my life. It does feel great having somewhere to go everyday...and even better to meet people outside of the gay community. It's definitely helping me to appreciate things I buy.

With every passing day I feel so happy that I am much closer to leaving KYLE FOXXX behind and becoming JAMES again. I am even in the habit of calling myself JAMES again to people I meet. Just takes some time to get past everything. Working 40 hours a week for peanuts helps one realize that there are greater things in life than what we can buy at the store.

Left Behind: Cool Tom

So I decided that I am going to start a portion of my blog dedicated to the few but very special friends I left behind in Los Angeles. Though I have left behind that part of my life, these people were always there for me and will still be a very important part of my life. They were there with me through my addiction as well as all my accomplishments and failures. I owe a lot of who I am to my friends and I want to share some of them with everyone *wink*

First would have to be....

Tom was not only an amazing friend to me over the years but I owe a lot of my success as Kyle Foxx to him. Aside from knowing everyone in the porn industry, Tom was an amazing photographer who is responsible for some of my more famous photos. It was because of him I was able to watch myself progress over the years. More so than anyone else in my life, Tom was definitely a father figure who was always looking out for me and trying to keep me out of trouble.

Working with Tom always made me feel confident because everything he said was so positive and genuinely sweet. It was his kind words that would always make me feel better if I was down. Anytime I was in need or needed someone to talk to, he was always there for me. There were times when I would be so strung out and act like a total ass...Tom would just give me time to come around and be right there for me again. There aren't very many people in my life that I feel comfortable saying I could trust with my life, but Tom is definitely one of them.

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING TOM !!

The Show Must Go On

Oh man where do I start ?!?!?

I have spent the last 8 years of my life as someone else. When I was 16 I started doing drag and took on the persona SERENA SKYY. In that time I moved to Los Angeles and built a rather good name for myself. Around the time I turned 19 I decided to cut off all my hair and start over as a boy. Only weeks after that I was recruited into the gay porn world where I then took on the persona KYLE FOXXX. That continued to be image all the way up to my move to Dallas early this year. I spent so long being all these other people, that I forgot how to just be James.

Kyle Foxxx Blog

Moving to Dallas has probably been one of the best moves I have made in my life in a very long time. Though I had many amazing friends and a pretty good life in Los Angeles, I also had a very hearty drug addiction which had consumed me for nearly 5 years. When I decided to stop using and start living sober I was faced with a rather hard decision. I could either cut everyone off I knew and start from scratch in LA (which would have killed me being around people I considered friends for so long and not be able to hang out with them) OR I could take my chances in a new town and try rebuilding my life there. Obviously I chose the latter of the two and it has worked out fairly well for me so far.

Part of my new path includes a more healthy day to day routine and diet, making time to work out and work on my body several times a week, and finding fun and healthy hobbies to take up my free time. It has been a constant battle to stay sober but I find little things every day that make it easier. It helps that I am surrounded with people who care a great deal about me and want to see me get better. Having my best friend, Cicero, here in Dallas with me makes the change so much easier. I can't imagine having to have done it without him. I still stay in contact with many of my friends back in Los Angeles and do hope to make it back that way sometime soon for a visit. I just feel that right now I am where I need to be and need to work on that.

I thought long and hard about what it is I wanted to do with this blog and came up with plenty of thoughts and goals. First and most important..I am going to use it as a method of tracking my progress with my diet and exercise regiment. There will probably be frequent updates as to what I have been eating and what I am doing in the gym. I also think it's important to stay true to my interests, so there are sure to be plenty of posts on hot boys and fun toys. Throw in some quirky stories and personal opinions here and there..and that will probably be the gist of it. I am very excited about this new venture and look forward to taking you all down....

.......THE BEATEN PATH !!!!!!!
